Fighting malnutrition.

Bangladesh - for Terre des hommes

In villages of Bangladesh, malnutrition shadows childhood. Yet small acts of care and nourishment offer fragile hope.

Bangladesh — Nourishing Childhood in Kurigram

In the districts of Kurigram and along the Bay of Bengal, one in three children suffers from acute to severe malnutrition.

For over forty years, Terre des hommes has been working in these communities, offering support through cooking sessions, access to healthcare, safe water, and a Specialized Nutrition Unit — one of the most advanced in the region — for severely malnourished children.

Through these efforts, the organisation transforms vulnerability into possibility. The challenge remains immense, but each child reached is a measure of hope restored, a small yet vital step toward a future where nourishment and care are not a privilege but a right.
