In Djolof, Senegal, milk provides a primary source of income for many families. Low production keeps local prices high enough to support small-scale farmers and producers.
However, European overproduction of milk is exported to Africa, where it is sold at very low prices, creating unfair competition for local producers.
Through a local partner, SOS Faim supports initiatives to improve milk processing, helping families — particularly women — secure better incomes and greater economic stability.
