Rajasthan through the lens: vibrant streets, sacred rituals, and the timeless rhythm of daily life in Ajmer and Pushkar.
COLORFUL RAJASTHAN — AJMER & PUSHKAR
Ajmer, a bustling city in the heart of Rajasthan, is alive with the energy of pilgrims visiting the Dargha Sharif, a revered Sufi shrine. The narrow streets around the shrine are crowded with people from across India and the world, creating a dynamic tapestry of devotion and movement.
Beyond the Nag Mountains lies Pushkar, a quieter sacred town. Known for the only temple dedicated to Brahma and its holy pond, Pushkar invites visitors to participate in traditional rituals along its many ghats. Once a hub for hippies in the 1970s, it still attracts self-proclaimed “alternative” travellers seeking spirituality and vibrant culture.
This photographic series captures the essence of Rajasthan — from its vibrant spirituality to its enduring traditions — revealing the connection between people, place, and daily life.
