A glimpse into a Europe that still values patience, craft, and connection to the land.
In the heart of Europe, some farmers still work the land as their parents did before them. Raymond tends a few cows and works his fields with two old tractors. He prefers the smaller plots, the ones that bigger farmers no longer bother with.
For the haymaking, he works alone — except for a young neighbour who joins him in the fields. Together they share the rhythm of the land, the warmth of a summer day, and the old Walloon words that would otherwise fade away. A quiet transmission of gestures, language, and pride.
