A bicycle is a way of seeing
Cycling is not just a way to move from A to B, nor simply an outdoor activity. It is a way of going out, looking around, feeling the air and — for me — noticing the frames the road creates in front of my eyes. Outdoor activities and photography have always been connected in my practice. I do not need to share these moments on social networks to make them exist; making photographs is my way of understanding the world I encounter, whether I am hiking or cycling.
Cycling offers a wider terrain. Distances lose their importance. Longer routes often pass through places considered less picturesque — suburbs, industrial zones, transit corridors — which I find particularly compelling to include in my photographs. I am drawn to patterns, colours, and forms that travel photography often overlooks. This is what sparks my creativity while riding. The bicycle becomes a pretext, a framework for a visual exploration that unfolds at road speed.
