At the source of the Tariqa Alawiyya — Mostaganem, Algeria
The Tariqa Alawiyya is a Sufi brotherhood founded by the saint Sidi Ahmad al-Alawi (1869–1934). Based in Mostaganem, the centre remains a place where the teachings associated with its founder are transmitted and where members of the community gather.
The centre hosts disciples and organises regular meetings, study sessions and collective practices linked to the life of the Tariqa. Its structure continues to be informed by the lineage and teachings of its founder, which are carried forward through successive generations.
Today, the community is under the direction of Sheikh Khaled Bentounes, who oversees its organisation and the continuity of its practices.
