In the outskirts of Istanbul, I was invited to attend rites and the preparation of them by Cheikha Nur.

Nur is a Mevlevi (from Rumi, the Mevlana, the Master) teacher and master and is one of the few women to have the rank of Cheikh.
The spiritual community is gathering around her for teaching and rites but also important moments in life. Most dancers and followers are women.
The atmosphere is strong and pure during the Sema and the Zikr.
