Capturing the quiet, fleeting beauty of Dalsland before winter takes hold.
THE LAST COLOURS BEFORE WINTER
Dalsland, in western Sweden, is a land of countless lakes, deep forests, and protected natural areas. In autumn, the cold, humid light gives the landscape a muted, almost monochrome palette.
With wellies, one can approach the edges of lakes where reflections mirror the darkening sky. Moss remains green, water deep blue, while the rest of the world seems to fade.
Days are short, sunlight low, and the approaching long, cold winter hangs heavily, reminding us of nature’s quiet, relentless cycles.
